who will try to deceive the nations? How will you be able to know the false
Jesus from the true Jesus? It is explained in the Bible:
Jesus said that when He (the true) comes to the Earth, everyone will see Him:
"Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him,
even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn
because of Him."
Jesus will not touch the ground, instead the saved
from all ages, will meet Him in the air:
"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.
And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive
and remain will be caught up together with them in the
clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always
be with the Lord."
-1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
The saved will not stay on Earth, they will go
with Jesus to the dwelling place of God/Paradise:
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also
in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so,
I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go
and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to
Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."
Earth will be destroyed by fire, and all the people
who are lost will be destroyed by the brightness of His coming:
"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which
the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements
will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are
in it will be burned up." -
2 Peter 3:10
"...when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,
in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on
those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ."
-2 Thessalonians 1:7-8
"And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man:
They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage,
until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold,
they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and
brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when
the Son of Man is revealed."
"And at that day the slain of the LORD shall be from one end of the earth
even to the other end of the earth. They shall not be lamented, or gathered,
or buried; they shall become refuse on the ground."
Life will not go on normally, everything will be desolate, with no
humans alive to wander on this planet. Only Satan and his angels will remain,
trapped in this desolate world for the Millenium - the thousand years of Revelation:
"Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the abyss
and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old,
who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years"

If a beautiful, bright being claims he is Jesus, and even performs miracles-
Yet plainly- his coming and his words do not match God's Word in every respect,
it's NOT Jesus. It's as simple as that.
Therefore, if you hear that Jesus has returned, that he is visiting countries,
or showing himself on TV, don't even look. Don't go out to hear what he says.
Jesus himself warned us beforehand of this. He said that even the very elect
might be deceived.
Remember Eve, she tried to argue with the serpent, and was deceived-
"And no wonder, for Satan himself transforms into an angel of light."
-2 Corinthians 11:14
Even groups of people that claim to worship satan, believe he will come as "savior" of humanity.
What if he were to impersonate Christ? How could you be able to tell him apart?
Simple: does his coming and what he says contradict the Bible?
Sadly, many religious traditions and beliefs have been accepted by God's people
as if they were Bible truths. Jesus Himself said:
"And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men." -Acts 5:29
and “If you love Me, keep My commandments." -John 14:15

All glory be to God!
My worry is that even though I have asked Christ to be my savior and Lord, it is still not enough. I don't want to miss out on eternity with Him. I guess I don't know how to move forward in my faith.
He's our best friend- in fact, our only true friend.
If you're struggling with how to move forward in your faith, may I suggest listening to

The wicked being simply Annihilated. Remember the story about the rich man and the poor man? Remember how the rich man wanted the poor man to drip his finger in water and cool his mouth? Look also at revelations “ and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” And then we have the final judgment of the wicked at the Great White Throne, “Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”
Scary stuff I’d say. Yet, I would also say that this fear of the Lord’s power should only motivate us all to try all the more to spread the good news of our Lord. Because to be honest, God is scary, as can be seen in both the Old and New. However, God is also a kind and loving God. He gave is Only Son for us, he owes us nothing and still he saved us. From the foundation of creation God had always planned the redemption of man, and as children of God it is our obligation to spread the Gospel. I would like to end with a wonder quote by Charles Spurgeon, “If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.”
Thank you for sharing these points:
I do believe the weight of the evidence in scriptures favors the total mortality of the soul-
as the concept that hell burns eternal souls of the lost- that is- the concept that a human soul is immortal,
I have never found in my study of the Bible.
However, yes- the story of the rich man and Lazarus makes mention of this idea- but I believe Jesus was
telling this as a parable- using the Greek understanding of the immortal soul.
The other verse you mentioned about them being "tormented day and night forever and ever"
I have read that the word used for "forever" there is eon- an unspecified amount of time, which doesn't necessarily mean perpetuity.
To quote just a few verses that help define death and hell:
The reward of sin, according to the Bible:
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 6:23
(A sinner can't have both- it's either death, or eternal life.)
The concept that a soul is not immortal:
“Behold, all souls are Mine;
The soul of the father
As well as the soul of the son is Mine;
The soul who sins shall die. - Ezekiel 18:4
"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill
the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." - Matthew 10:28
"He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
Who alone has immortality,... to whom be honor and everlasting power..." - 1 Timothy 6:15-16
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that
whoever believes in Him should not perish (die) but have everlasting life."
(it doesn't say, "be tortured in the fires of hell for eternity." If the punishment for sin was
eternal torture in hell, then Jesus didn't pay our debt.)
The concept that hell is in the future, and will consume/completely destroy the wicked:
“For behold, the day is coming,
Burning like an oven,
And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble.
And the day which is coming shall burn them up,”
Says the Lord of hosts,
“That will leave them neither root nor branch...
You shall trample the wicked,
For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet
On the day that I do this,”
Says the Lord of hosts. - Malachi 4:1-3
(to re-quote the verse you used) "Then Death and the Grave were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire." - Revelation 20:14-15
This verse says that even satan himself will be completely destroyed- if even satan, the worst of all sinners,
is destroyed and ceases to exist- how could a human sinner continue living in torture for eternity?
"Therefore I will bring forth a fire from your midst;
It will devour you,
And I will bring you to ashes upon the earth
In the sight of all who see you.
All who know you among the peoples will be
astonished at you;
You will be a terror,
And never will you be any more.""
There are tons of more verses, but this is very long already-
BTW- please don't be offended by this- I hope you are not!
I think that studying the Bible is a great topic, and enjoy sharing verses, in the hope
that God can help us both learn. I don't know everything and it helps me think and learn, when talking about these topics.
I understand that the idea of an eternally-burning hell has been engrained into many Christians
through years of tradition.. But if you try to dig the roots- you will find this idea actually started when Rome
merged with Christianity. This concept of an immortal soul dates back to Greek, Roman and Egyptian mythology-
and ultimately- I believe it first began in the the first lie the devil told Eve: "You will not surely die", back in the garden of Eden..
There are a few difficult verses that seem to imply a longer punishment for the wicked- but when the evidence is stacked and the original language studied,
I can't deny the weight lies on the side of the mortal soul- and of the punishment of the wicked that lasts some time, but then ceases when they are destroyed, according to the severity of their sins.
This in-depth study on the topic also shares more verses: A Biblical study on hell
I appreciate talking of this!
Thanks for having shared your understanding!
These all state that the dead are out of existence, rotting in the earth. Their atoms will be recycled over & over, and there wil be NOTHING to resurrect. The Adventists say that at the end of the millenium, the lost (80-100 billion people) will be recreated - copies made. Instead of forgiveness and a 2nd chance, they will be given enough rope to hang themselves -time to enter into a planning session with Satan and Napoleon will lead the army to attack New Jerusalem.
Then after being stopped and convinced of their total unworthiness to exist, they will be devoured by fire. Why raise them at all ? I am convinced that Revelations & Daniel are spurious books, causing no end of doctrinal mischief.
It could be worse, one deranged black man stated that after the millenium, the lost will be recreated -for eternal torture ! Again, why raise them at all ? He called a number of TV preachers "lying sunday revs". I think he's been committed by now.
I guess.. I could answer you what I believe, but I'm not sure if
that's what you want..
Nooo, no no.. I did this image some years ago, and it should have been made clearer-
The "jesus" on the left side of the image represents the false- whereas the Jesus on the right side, the true.
The flying saucers are just (in my understanding) either fakes, or if credible, deceptions
of satan. But I realize this image is a little hard to understand- the explanation below was meant to clear that up.
Wow.. just wow... it is very sad.. especially
considering that if these poor people opened the real bible and read it,
they would be saved from such a blatant lie. I only hope they are awakened from
Thanks for commenting, and I respect your opinion.
I myself base my faith on many evidences, but thanks for sharing your view nonetheless!
do you have any?
Your going to have to do better than that sweetie.
I'm not going to take back my words. I'll explain why. Comic books and Bibles are two different things. It's easy to identify that comic books are fictional. But there are plenty of proofs that the Bible is not fictional.
You know, the Christian Bible is no Ordinary book. It's written by different chosen men who don't know each other over a different span of years and a big span of continents. Yet these men individually walked with the Lord and wrote what God guided them to write. Thousand of years later, one by one, these books written by these different men were found and compiled. Scholars were amazed on how accurate and connected each book was.. each written book pointed to the same thing: God's Love for mankind..
The biggest proof of God's love is when Jesus Christ (God's Son and equal with God) became human to put your sins on Him so He will pay for it on the Cross. He did that because You Need it. So you won't go to Hell and be punished there for your mistakes. He wants to set you Free from the grip of sins and from all the filth in your life. He suffered Your punishment so that He can make you clean and that you can be with Him forever. That's how much You are loved!! With every filth in between! SERIOUSLY!!(I don't know and I don't care how many times you've read or heard that but I Don't want you to just read that.. I want you to UNDERSTAND it. Try to read it again.)
The Bible contains the purpose of Mankind: To know that Man has a Creator who loves him so much. It revealed to mankind the reason and direction of their life. It tells us that our lives aren't from scratch or monkeys, that our life has purpose and meaning and that we need God because we are nothing without Him.
We aren't the King of everything despite of being at the top of the food chain or despite of having awesome brains.. To God, our whole wisdom combined is tinier than an atom's electron. His purpose for making all of this? To let His Creation remember and seek the God they have chosen to forget. That's why the bible was actually dubbed as: B-basic I-instructions B-before L-leaving E-earth. When we know that our life has a purpose, life actually makes sense.
So, if the Bible is True then the message it carries is Truth as well. C: Peace! ;-]
the New Testament has different accounts on the life of Jesus even when talking about the same events.
I have read the bible, all of it, I suggest you read it too.
Why do you Not choose to understand what the Bible says after everything? Do you think it gives falsified information? Or is it just a plain "too-good-to-be-true" joke to you? I know that there is not one soul on this earth that questions if there is a God or not, but if a fact says there is and that the God that made you also loves you, why does it hurt so much that you reject it?
wisdom is wisdom. it always carries the same message. the belief that the bible is the word of god comes from the philosophy that all wisdom comes from god. if that is your belief you must also accept that all other holy books, writings or even philosophers carry the word of god. this is true in a sense. but, then again, what isn't true when looked at from various points of view? the only truth is that truth and falsehood are equal, because there is no absolute truth or falsehood when your perspective is malleable.
the death of the man now known as Christ is proof only of the violence of humanity and their unwillingness to open their minds when reality is reflected on them. this man never declared himself to be god incarnate. he never said that he was the son of god. if you read your bible, you will find that the only passage that clearly says this is one in which one of the apostles gives his opinion about the nature of the character, Jesus, whom then states that the apostle is wise to think so but the actual implications are never discussed.
truth, we are all the children of god. at the time, the miracle worker may have been closer to god than any other man. which god though? the personified god? the universal? the creator? or the one, the source of all existence? can you even define that as god? these questions are irrelevant. they are all your decision on how you interpret them, as is this message.
i don't wish you to question your beliefs or your interpretation of reality. i only wish for you to understand one thing, your interpretation is your own. if you follow it's implications to their inevitable conclusion, you will find that the end point is the same as all other interpretations, be they buddhism, islam, juddaism, taoism, etc. love unconditionally. find your inner harmony. appreciate all that you have. never limit your mind. avoid attachment to the material.
take care, my friend.
My friend, I understand where you are coming from when you mentioned that "..the only truth is that truth and falsehood are equal, because there is no absolute truth or falsehood when your perspective is malleable. " But I want to point out to you a few things about that. I noticed the way you were saying about the equality of the state of something being true and being false and its as if you're telling me that there is no distinct difference between what is 'good' and 'evil'. And that it is an absolute truth that there are no absolutes.. But my friend.. Are you "absolutely" sure that there are no absolutes? The problem with this logic is that it fails to adequately deal with the real evil/falsity of things in the world (because there is no such thing?). What about things like lies, World War II, Hitler, rape, etc.? It's like a denial of these things to be wrong and that if all essence of life-forms come from God then those things are part of God as well. Like God is both evil and good. The Bible, by contrast, teaches that God is good and not evil (see Psalm 145:8-9). Evil exists apart from God just like darkness would exist without the presence of light or cold would exist without warmth. I tell you this with all sincerity and concern, if you think that there is one reality that God is both evil and good, death and life, hatred and love, then that makes everything meaningless, life-- an absurdity. It's not easy to maintain one's sanity and the view that good and evil, love and hate, life and death, etc, were one reality.
You also mentioned the Jesus Christ of the Bible "...never declared himself to be god incarnate. he never said that he was the son of god." and that "the apostles gives his opinion about the nature of the character, Jesus, whom then states that the apostle is wise to think so but the actual implications are never discussed." Well you may claim that but that is not what the evidence clearly shows. The truth was summarized by Scottish Theologian HR Macintosh saying: "The self-consciousness of Jesus... is the greatest fact in history." And a research professor of systematic theology, Kevin Vanhoozer, discusses that: "Jesus understood himself to be the beloved Son of God, chosen by God to bring about the kingdom of God & the forgiveness of sins. Our understanding of who Jesus was must correspond to Jesus' own self-understanding. If we do not confess Jesus as the Christ (Messiah/Savior), then either he was deluded about his identity or we are." To make it clear, I'll write down a few factors that point toward Jesus as believing he was the one & only Son of God.
1st, there was the way Jesus referred to himself. Jesus most commonly refers to himself as the "Son of Man" like a dozen times in the Bible, this doesn't really point out to his claim of humanity, though He was indeed 100% human and 100% God, but that term "Son of Man" is actually a reference about a prophecy of Him in Daniel 7:13-14 (Try to Google this verse) where the Son of Man is ushered into the very presence of the Almighty, has "authority, glory and sovereign power," "receives the worship of all peoples," and is someone whose dominion is everlasting. And on John 10:30, Jesus declared outright: "I and the Father are One." There is no question about whether his listeners understood what Jesus claimed because their immediate reaction of Jesus declaring to be equal with God was to pick up rocks to attack him for "blasphemy, because you as a mere man claim to be God. (John 10:33)"
2nd, Of course anyone can believe that he/she is the Son of God but Jesus didn't just consider himself as that but he also fulfilled the attributes that are unique to God. Such as his eternality confirmed in John 1:1-14 which declares of Jesus "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning... The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." His immutability shown in Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." His sinlessness in John 8:29 "And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always DO the things that are pleasing to Him." There are more attributes.. And in Hebrews 1:8, God the Father Himself specifically makes reference to Jesus as being God.
Beyond just believing he was God, though, Jesus proved it by working supernatural deeds, that is by fulfilling ancient prophecies that were against all mathematical odds [being born of a woman (Genesis 3:15), of the line of Abraham (Genesis 12:1-3;22:18), through the tribe of Judah (Gen. 49:10), in the city Bethlehem (Micah 5:2), of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14), bearing our sins/sins of the world he dies (Isaiah 53) at about A.D. 33 (Daniel 9:24-26) and is raised to life on the third day (Psalm 16:11 & Psalm 2:7-8) and many more prophecies. He was the only exact match man who nailed every single one!] and ultimately conquering the grave.
Unlike other holy books, the Bible alone has been supernaturally confirmed to be the word of God. Of all the world religious leaders, neither Confucius nor Buddha nor Muhammad nor Joseph Smith was confirmed by miracles verified by contemporary and credible witnesses. The Bible alone proves to be the Word of God written by prophets and apostles of God who were confirmed by special miraculous acts of God. The message that the Bible brings is truth upon truth and proof upon proof that it is not supposed to be read without interpretation, but it's to be internalized in mind and heart to make sense of what we are today...
I'm hoping that this reply would somehow give you a new found knowledge and love for God, who still never stops thinking about you and loving you every single second. I hope that this would mark a new beginning for your journey to really question, get even more curious about God, to probe and to know God as He really is....
(References on this reply are mostly from Ravi Zacharias & Norman Geisler's book "Who Made God?")
I'm so sorry for the lengthy reply..
Your question is very personal, and I hope I'm telling you the right words
-Salvation is a gift. It's not something we can earn-
We all need it because we have broken God's law of love:
"...sin is the transgression of the law" 1 John 3:4
(God's law of love- the ten commandments- have to do with loving God with all our life and loving our neighbor as ourselves)
Romans 6:23 says
"...the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
So the definition of being lost would be not allowing Jesus to rescue you.
(by the way, we are judged according to the "light" (or truth) we have been given.
Acts 17:30 says that God has "winked" at the times of ignorance.
salvation is the fruit of Jesus' work for humanity, to save us from the ruin that Lucifer (satan) brought to Earth:
"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." John 17:3
- It's the start of a new life, through a very personal relationship with Christ. It's got to be Your own experience with God through your study of the Bible.
Listen- God will never abandon you- it's really us that abandon God
You can and will find God if you search for Him - get a Bible
(a New King James version is a good translation - the NIV omits some important portions)
Read it and you'll find Faith to believe in God- and in Jesus- (faith itself is a gift!)
"And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13
Search for Him, read the Bible until you are at peace, please understand that salvation is wholly a gift of God to you.
Hey, this audiobook explains salvation and growth in the truth, it's a treasure-
it has helped me to understand God's character, how to be saved, and become like Jesus:
Steps to Christ
(note- the foreword is read by a computer, but all the chapters are read by a speaker)
I hope this helped answer your question,
God bless you in your search!
Yes, and it seems to get scarier each day..
Truly, only God keeps us from falling apart in this messed up world.
she said. "Miguel, Always remember what the Bible says, don't listen to what others tell you. The Bible is your guide. The Bible is the most truthful and reliable book anywhere in the Universe. Madali tayong pa ikut-ikutin (We can easily be fooled) nowadays Miguel. So always remember to be cautious. So that you won't be deceived by what people tell you. And Pray that God will give you wisdom and strength."
God bless you.
Absolutely right! Just grab your Bible, read it, pray for God to guide you,
and you're on the right track! Your Tita is very wise
God bless you too!
sometimes I remember the scriptures themselves, but not where they came from
(too dependent on Bible-gateway to find the verses )
We sure do have to study more!
By the way, nice art. May the words of Jesus be known widespread
The Anti-Christ will be sitting right under many peoples' noses when he comes and they will never know it.
there's nothing to fear when you have the Bible as your guide!
rather, if you look at the painting, the Jesus holding the Bible (right) is the true Jesus, (in other words, to identify the true Jesus, you must know what the Bible says about His coming)
whereas the jesus with the UFOs (left), "ghosts" of people from the past, and other figures that claim to be aliens are actually fallen angels (demons) and satan himself.
the point of this painting is to warn people to read the Bible and trust the Bible only, (and not on miracles or great signs- since the forces of evil can also do miracles) Jesus warned us of false christs, but if we read the Bible about how Jesus is coming, we are protected from deceit.
