Revealed by ForestHymn Revealed by ForestHymn
At the cross of Calvary, the character of God is revealed in Jesus
and the character of Satan is unmasked:

:bulletyellow: "It was the marvel of all the universe that Christ should humble Himself to save fallen man.
When Christ came to our world in the form of humanity, all were intensely interested in
following Him as He traversed the blood-stained path from the manger to Calvary. Heaven
marked the insult and mockery that He received and knew that it was at Satan’s instigation.
They watched the battle between light and darkness as it waxed stronger. And as Christ
upon the cross cried out, “It is finished!” a shout of triumph rang through every world and
through heaven itself. The great contest was now decided, and Christ was conqueror. His
death answered the question whether the Father and the Son had sufficient love for man
to exercise self-denial and a spirit of sacrifice. Satan had revealed his true character as a liar
and murderer. With one voice the loyal universe united in extolling the divine administration."

-Patriarchs and Prophets

:bulletyellow: "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, counted
it not a thing to be grasped to be on equality with God, but emptied Himself, taking the
form of a servant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a
man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the
cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above
every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of
those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

-Philippians 2:5-11

:bulletyellow: "...choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve..."
-Joshua 24:15

Could i use this piece for a video? It's a very good portrait and if you feel generous, then a version where only the lamb and the dragon head are visible would be most favored. The video is short but taking on the last days on earth and how troublesome it will become at the very brink of the end.

Thanks friend, sorry this reply is coming so late for you..
not sure if you still want to use it- but unfortunately, I'd prefer if
it wasn't used in a video- I'm so sorry..
The problem has been in the past that some pieces I've made have
been used to represent other theology, ideas that I don't necessarily believe..
(What was the video about?)

Sometimes I let people use it if they leave the seal visible and give a link back to the original page,
but it depends what the video would be teaching.. (I hope you understand. Sorry again bro..)

I love how the Lamb does not feel at all afraid, he's facing the dragon face to face, and that the dragon is trying his best to intimidate him, its all useless the lamb would not be moved!

Yes- Jesus would not be intimidated by satan. Satan spent his fury on Jesus in anger that Jesus had committed no sin- (which meant we could be saved, and
Satan's kingdom yanked from his hands).
For Jesus to have fought back- would have fulfilled satan's purpose of causing Jesus to fail, and sin, at the last hour. Jesus showed
more strength by saying "Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they're doing" than Satan could in all his insane anger.

Just like Christ, He did not move even when he was impaled, he stood to the end and brought life from death.
Cling to the Cross emote :D

Well, until he was eaten.  Then he moved in mysterious ways through the dragons lower intestinal track.

I know it's me, but I would have prefered him/her/it/whatever sticking with the eye for an eye thing...

Well, since it is a symbol (the lamb represents Jesus in the Biblical context)
For Jesus to have done the "eye for an eye" thing would have suited Satan's intent perfectly...

They way I see it, Jesus was sinless (that is, self-less) and was standing in our place, taking the darkness/sins of every person.
By satan torturing Him, he wanted to make Jesus fail at last.. For Him to defend Himself at the last moment, against His aggressors, and save Himself...
Well, there would have gone the Plan of Redemption, right out the window.

I think Jesus showed more strength by saying "Father, forgive them..." than if He would have blown His enemies apart..
Even satan, God could have destroyed him long before- but He let him unmask himself by his works of darkness. So at the cross,
I see a big revelation of what God is truly like...

I am not a christian, although I was raised catholic.  Many christians in my area think I have met Gawd, but I think not.

I see a good example of what the C=christian god is like in Lot's Wife.  Unbending, unforgiving, dark.

I could be wrong, though.  It wouldn't be the first time or the last.

Right, still thanks for sharing your view.
I can see why you would think that, sometimes christians represent Him very, very poorly..

Don't worry! Even though it was an awful time for Jesus,
He triumphed over satan by His sacrifice! (and gave us a way out of
our fallen condition! "For God so loved the world!"...)
