At the cross of calvary, the character of God is revealed in Jesus
and the character of satan is unmasked:

"It was the marvel of all the universe that Christ should humble Himself to save fallen man.
When Christ came to our world in the form of humanity, all were intensely interested in
following Him as He traversed the blood-stained path from the manger to Calvary. Heaven
marked the insult and mockery that He received and knew that it was at Satan’s instigation.
They watched the battle between light and darkness as it waxed stronger. And as Christ
upon the cross cried out, “It is finished!” a shout of triumph rang through every world and
through heaven itself. The great contest was now decided, and Christ was conqueror. His
death answered the question whether the Father and the Son had sufficient love for man
to exercise self-denial and a spirit of sacrifice. Satan had revealed his true character as a liar
and murderer. With one voice the loyal universe united in extolling the divine administration."
:bulletyellow: Patriarchs and Prophets

"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, counted
it not a thing to be grasped to be on equality with God, but emptied Himself, taking the
form of a servant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a
man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the
cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above
every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of
those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

"...choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve..."

All Glory to God only
God bless!

The Lamb wins in the end and the wicked one is no more...

Could i use this piece for a video? It's a very good portrait and if you feel generous, then a version where only the lamb and the dragon head are visible would be most favored. The video is short but taking on the last days on earth and how troublesome it will become at the very brink of the end.

I love how the Lamb does not feel at all afraid, he's facing the dragon face to face, and that the dragon is trying his best to intimidate him, its all useless the lamb would not be moved!
lugia429 Featured By Owner Jun 22, 2014
Just like Christ, He did not move even when he was impaled, he stood to the end and brought life from death.
Cling to the Cross emote :D

Well, until he was eaten.  Then he moved in mysterious ways through the dragons lower intestinal track.

I know it's me, but I would have prefered him/her/it/whatever sticking with the eye for an eye thing...

Very nice work, though I personally believe that God loves dinosaurs as the Holy Spirit was revealed as one at the Jordan River during Jesus Christ's Baptism and I believe (though I may be mistaken) another one is one of the living creatures of the Bible.
Tahuzilla Featured By Owner Dec 8, 2012  Hobbyist General Artist
I believe it is the Dragon as described in Revelations, not a dinosaur.
ForestHymn Featured By Owner May 10, 2012  Professional Digital Artist
Hey, you might like this painting with dinosaurs and Jesus together, it has information (and a documentary) on dinosaurs and dragons. I believe God made them. [link]

God loves all animals, including dinosaurs. I'm not trying to demonize them here- simply using a spinosaur as symbol for the enemy. In order to show the contrast of "character". (In the Bible, satan is symbolized by a scarlet dragon, which I believe refers to a scarlet dinosaur)

Animals themselves are innocent, I'm referring to the entity they symbolize : )
ShalomShiloh Featured By Owner Feb 26, 2012  Hobbyist
I like dragons a lot, sometimes I wish they weren't serpents.
There's so much I like about them, but I hate the evil part of them.

Does that make any sense?
ForestHymn Featured By Owner May 10, 2012  Professional Digital Artist
You know, God made dinosaurs (which is probably the source for "dragon" legends around the world)

The Bible uses real animals as symbols- like the lion, bear, leopard, etc. It even uses "dragons". The Bible is not a mythical book, it always talks of real creatures. Thus, we can conclude that "dragon" was the ancient word for "dinosaur."
God made animals, and He loves them all. In the beginning, there was no death- every creature was vegetarian.

God uses animals as symbols all through the Bible. Jesus is symbolized by the Lion of Judah, and the Lamb. But obviously, he's not a lion or a lamb. Lucifer (satan) is symbolized by a dragon, thought he's an angel. The Bible even says there will be serpents in heaven!
So don't feel bad, I'm not trying to demonize dinosaurs. Simply using them as symbols. I love animals, including dinosaurs
This painting has dinosaurs and Jesus together [link] (and also some Biblical reasons why "dragons" might have been the ancient way of saying "dinosaur" : D
ShalomShiloh Featured By Owner May 10, 2012  Hobbyist
I do remember reading that the word "dinosaur" was invented in the 1800s era. So I believe both "dinosaurs" and "dragons" were all simply called dragons in the past.

I do believe they existed, and I do believe that there were large animals; because before the Flood there was less damaging sun rays and other more harmful factors, thus humans and creatures lived longer and grew larger.

Above that, I believe every word in the Bible. So as long as that agrees with what the Bible says.

That's the best choice, after all, it's the scriptures that are worth the trust.
